Blue to Blue/Brown
          
  1. Complete 30 class hours.

You must attend classes 2-3 times per week in order to become proficient. If you do not complete 30 class hours by the testing date you may not be allowed to test, this is an ETF regulation. You are responsible for your own progression through the ranking system.

  1. Complete 10 hours of personal training with a training log. (Discuss with Instructor)
  1. Teach Chon-Ji or Dan-Gun to lower ranking students.
  1. 100 word minimum essay on how to avoid physical aggression by creative, non-violent, non-physical means titled, “Self Defense.”
  1. Sponsor an additional new member.

It is the tradition in Tae Kwon Do that students reflect their loyalty by helping the school expand its impact on the community, increase its student enrollment, and improve the quality of its students.

  1. 1st Black Stripe

Learn Joong-Gun Hyung and the required Definition and recite the 5 previous hyung meanings             (Full Chon-Ji).

  1. 2nd Black Stripe

Be able to perform 15 different one step sparring, 10 different Two Step Sparring, and 5 take downs. These Step Sparring techniques should be done with precision, speed and control, they should be your favorite, and they do not need to be the numbered step sparring techniques.

  1. 3rd Black Stripe

Prior to the start of your normal class, notify the instructor you wish to test for your 3rd stripe. Your 3rd stripe is overall class participation and effort.
